Balfour Beatty Living Places has featured on BBC Sussex Radio's breakfast show discussing how the company is gearing up to deliver critical winter maintenance services for communities across East Sussex.

In the interview, Edward Jennings, Contract Director for Balfour Beatty Living Places in East Sussex, spoke about the measures teams are taking to ensure the local road network is as safe as possible for residents and the travelling public.

Edward said: "In terms of our preparation for the forthcoming weather, we've actually been preparing for this since the summer. We start the Winter season on the 1st of October and that's stocking five depots across East Sussex with 10 and a half thousand tonnes of salt and we have a fleet of 21 brand new gritters ready to go. We were out gritting at 4pm yesterday afternoon and again at 4am this morning to ensure the public are safe on the roads."
