Balfour Beatty features in New Civil Engineer discussing the complex marine work at Hinkley Point C

4 November 2024

UK

Balfour Beatty has featured in New Civil Engineer discussing its role in delivering one of the world's most complex marine engineering projects and supporting the construction of the UK's first new nuclear power station in a generation.

In the interview, Roger Frost, Balfour Beatty's Project Director, highlights the importance of collaboration and how teamwork has been the driving force behind the complex construction of the array of tunnels and marine works for the nuclear power station.

Discussing his time on the project so far, Roger said: “I’ve had the sheer joy of sitting at the top of this fine orchestra and conducting it”. He adds: “People will go to hospitals, they’ll have their power, and they’ll expect it to be there as human beings do. But they won’t know the human effort that gone into creating it – in the fact they’ve got their power at the touch of a button. It’s phenomenal.”
