Balfour Beatty has featured in Design & Build UK discussing the complex improvement works it is undertaking on the A63 Castle Street scheme.

Balfour Beatty’s A63 Castle Street Project Director Will Neaves and National Highways’ Senior Project Manager Frances Oliver explain the works delivered to date, and how on completion, the project will  enhance connectivity, alleviate congestion, and provide long-term benefits to residents in Hull and the surrounding communities.

In the article, Will emphasises the benefits of community engagement to drive project improvements as well as the importance of introducing sustainable technology such as mini electric diggers and trialling hydrogen generators.

Describing the project’s approach to sourcing sustainable materials, Will said: “Our focus was on sourcing steel and recycled materials locally, while also conducting trials on low-carbon solutions. The goal has always been to deliver the project on schedule, with sustainability as a top priority.”
