What is an ADS?
An American Depository Share or ADS is a US share which represents a specified number of ordinary shares on deposit in the United Kingdom. An ADR is the certificate representing ownership of the ADSs.
Who can hold ADRs?
ADRs can be held by both retail investors and institutions.
What rights do ADS holders have?
An ADS gives registered ADS holders the right to receive dividends in US dollars, attend Balfour Beatty shareholder meetings, and the right to vote on important matters such as corporate actions.

How can I replace a lost certificate?
If your certificate is lost, stolen or destroyed, please notify JP Morgan immediately so that a stop transfer can be placed on the certificate.
JP Morgan will send to you the forms necessary for issuing a replacement certificate. Please note there is a fee charged which is approximately 3% of the market value of the shares and a processing fee of $75.00 to purchase the replacement indemnity bond.

Can I convert my ordinary shares into ADRs?
Yes, if you hold ordinary shares, please contact your broker who will be able to advise you on the process.
How can I find out when Balfour Beatty dividends are paid?
Balfour Beatty dividends are generally paid twice a year (usually in July and December each year).
