Right to Respect

Launched in the UK in 2023, our Right to Respect programme is helping us to embed our Value Everyone behaviour.

Its aim is to help everyone who works for and with us to develop a shared understanding of where the boundaries are and how to respond to unacceptable behaviour.

By embedding a respectful, inclusive culture, making clear the behaviours we expect and empowering our colleagues and partners to hold each other to account, we’re creating a workplace where everyone is energised, motivated and can reach their potential, helping Balfour Beatty to become an even better business.

Right to Respect

By embedding a respectful, inclusive culture, making clear the behaviours we expect and empowering our colleagues and partners to hold each other to account, we’re creating a workplace where everyone is energised, motivated and can reach their potential, helping Balfour Beatty to become an even better business.

We value everyone for their skills, knowledge, experiences and the contribution they make. Together we’re committed to:

  • Valuing difference
  • Understanding how our behaviours can impact others
  • Taking action when someone crosses the line
  • Being open to feedback

As we roll-out a series of awareness sessions, toolbox talks and visible communications as part of the Right to Respect programme in the UK, a pilot of the programme is also underway in the US.
