About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Project Coordinator for our Highways DBFO Joint Venture.


Balfour Beatty Highways maintain, manage and operate major highway networks across the UK and support local authorities creating communities where people want to live work and play.


We provide high quality asset strategy, management and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers. We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Coordinator, you will provide a range of specialist and general administrative duties to a nominated team Management of National Highways Additional Works Notices and Orders, including:


 



  • You'll be developing your communication, information management and document control skills to help deliver lots of small schemes and projects.

  • Helping to setup and co-ordinate all the project information into standardised system

  • Sorting archives and moving information to new system

  • Quality Control of documents and information

  • Have we got all the information where we need it, chase those who need to provide it

  • Co-ordination support for work priorities

  • Working with project team members on 3 contracts

  • Support them with setting up information folders for their schemes

  • Support project reporting with information

Who we're looking for


  • We'd like you to be confident, a good communicator, likes the balance of working with a team and working solo, quick learner and driven to develop themselves.

  • Likes solving problems, fixing things, and task focused on getting things done, with an attention to detail.

  • IT literate, comfortable with Microsoft excel, word and office tools.

  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative

  • Team working skills, and able to build relationships at all levels

  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales

  • Very strong customer focus

  • Administrative, scheduling, planning, works co-ordination, or document control experience
