About the role

Balfour Beatty is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team, playing a key role in the delivery of a large-scale project in the Scottish Highlands. Starting in Fort Augustus, this role will evolve alongside the project, eventually moving to the Isle of Skye. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical infrastructure project, working in some of the most stunning and remote landscapes in the UK.

What you'll be doing


  • Manage and coordinate project documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • Support project teams with planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks.

  • Ensure all project onboarding and compliance requirements are met.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, maintaining a Zero Harm culture.

  • Update and manage project signage, notice boards, and key documentation.

  • Support new team members with onboarding and induction processes.

  • Arrange team meetings, take minutes, and coordinate logistics for external stakeholders.

  • Organise travel and accommodation, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Liaise with suppliers to coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment.

  • Monitor and track project expenses, ensuring financial records are accurately maintained.

  • Identify and report potential project risks related to budget, timeline, or scope.

  • Utilise O365 to produce professional reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.

  • Ensure all documents follow the correct company templates and compliance standards.

Who we're looking for


  • Proven experience in a project coordination or administrative role within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic project environment.

  • Full UK Driving Licence (due to rural project locations).

  • Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or energy sector.

  • Proficiency in O365 and project control software.
