What you'll be doing
- Project Handover: Lead the effective and efficient handover process for Highways projects within your designated region, ensuring all aspects of certification are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the Highways Leadership Team, Production Hub, and project teams to streamline handover processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, local councils, utilities, designers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project transitions.
- Risk & Quality Management: Liaise with Group Risk, Audit, and Quality functions to uphold project standards and ensure compliance with certification bodies.
- Regional Oversight: Be the point of contact for Highways PDs (Project Directors) in your region, providing guidance and leadership on all handover-related matters.
- Reporting & Coordination: Regularly report progress to the Head of Mobilisation and Handover, ensuring transparency and consistency across regional projects.
Who we're looking for
- Strong background in highways project delivery and handover processes.
- Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are delivered to the highest standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal teams and external clients effectively.
- A solid understanding of certification standards, quality control, and risk management in highways projects.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as part of this shared-service role.
