What you'll be doing
- Resource Coordination: Take ownership of your assigned logistics resource streams and act as the key point of contact for each one, ensuring all aspects are coordinated effectively and efficiently.
- Support Operations: Assist the Logistics Manager with day-to-day activities, flagging potential issues and identifying opportunities for improvement. Manage risks and address concerns in your resource streams.
- Safety First: Ensure all HSES (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability) standards are met, with a continuous focus on Zero Harm. Work closely with the supply chain to improve safety and handle incidents as they arise.
- Efficient Resource Management: Oversee the movement of resources to and from the site, ensuring all logistics processes are managed digitally and records are maintained accurately.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Operations, Planning, Commercial, Site Support, and Finance teams, ensuring all parties are aligned with the logistics needs and resource requirements of the project.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide data and insights to improve resource efficiency, program delivery, and overall project performance. Be a key player in driving logistical excellence.
Who we're looking for
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Logistics Experience: A strong background in logistics management within the construction or supply chain industry, with knowledge of coordinating materials, plant, haulage, and resources.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Suite, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn and operate digital systems quickly.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, from operational staff to senior leadership, ensuring that logistics requirements are understood and met.
- Data Management: Experience working with data, ensuring accurate record-keeping and the ability to analyze and report on logistics performance.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Construction Experience: Previous experience within the construction industry, preferably in logistics or supply chain roles.
- Certification: Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Supply Chain Management: Experience managing relationships with both customers and suppliers.
- Analytical Systems: Familiarity with systems such as PowerBI for reporting and data analysis.
- Change Management: Experience in managing change within projects or business environments.
