What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take overall responsibility for the successful completion of designated sections or full projects, leading by example and ensuring the day-to-day delivery of construction work.
- Team Management: Manage a small team, ensuring all members are inducted and meeting role-specific requirements. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to motivate the team and enhance performance.
- Program Management: Draw up and monitor 4 weeks program, ensuring project milestones are achieved.
- Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate progress records such as As built, check sheet, etc. and deliver regular Toolbox Talks to keep the team aligned.
- Budget & Cost Control: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and within the specified contract budget.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm, implement safety policies, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting safety tours and supporting accident/incident investigations.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support to ensure contractual arrangements are met.
- Sustainability & Values: Support and drive the delivery of sustainability initiatives, living the company's values.
Who we're looking for
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in site management, particularly within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving project objectives, focusing on safety, quality, and time.
