About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? At Balfour Beatty, we’re seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team

What you'll be doing


  • Screen incoming mail, telephone calls and emails on behalf of the team and
    manage all appropriate correspondence

  • Maintain accurate and secure paper based/electronic filing systems

  • Maintain full confidentiality of sensitive business issues

  • Perform ad hoc confidential project work

  • Undertake a full range of administrative duties to ensure an efficient service is
    delivered to allocated team

  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm and contribute towards observation and
    other KPIs

  • Support with any induction duties

  • Support the work of other Administrators during periods of absence or unexpected high volumes of work activity

  • Arrange and attend external team meetings/conferences, take minutes where
    required, and ensure appropriate facilities are organised

  • Arrange travel and accommodation arrangements in accordance with Policy for
    optimum cost saving 

  • Ensure correct and current templates are used when creating documents

  • Undertake multi diary management and plan schedules in diaries to optimise the
    working time of allocated team

  • Prepare and track personal expenses and other ancillary expenditure

  • Be fully conversant in O365 to produce a range of spread sheets, documents and
    presentations as required

Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:



  • Secretarial and/or administrative experience

  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the
    organisation

  • Has experience in working as part of a team and has a desire to help the team
    succeed


The following qualities/experience are desirable:



  • Experience of working on a variety of project types in a similar role

  • Proficient on O365 and Project Control Software

  •  Holds a current driving license

  • Knowledge of the construction industry
