What you'll be doing
Responsible for the replacement and maintenance of street lighting equipment and street furniture. To provide a managed, high quality and reliable maintenance service for East Sussex County Council, Parish, Town councils and private clients.
- Ensure full compliance with Highway Electrical Association competency scheme, T&C's and Code of Conduct.
- Proactively engage with and adhere to company procedures with regards to health, safety and quality where applicable to ensure all team members do likewise'
- Assist in ensuring all works are carried out on time.
- Report and record all defects or hazards immediately, using the recognised platforms and systems.
- Ensure all plant, equipment and electrical systems are regularly inspected and that all defects are reported to the person responsible for the workplace and record is maintained.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported in accordance with BBLP policy and co-operate with any investigation.
- Chair daily "start of shift" briefings prior to starting work and that regular "toolbox talks" relevant to current/future site activities take place.
Who we're looking for
- Experience in a similar role associated to operator lorry loaders.
- Holder of SMSTS or other Health and Safety related qualification.
- HEA card supervisor card
- Traffic Management M7 Qualification.
- G39 + 214 Safe Isolation
- Ability to communicate at all levels from senior management to operational staff.
- Ability to identify problems and resolve promptly and efficient
- ECS Card to relevant level.
- Emergency First Aid trained or willing to attend training.
- Cable avoidance training - use of CAT and Genny
