About the role

Are you a Senior Project Manager ready to lead a dedicated team of a major highways project? Balfour Beatty is looking for a highly skilled individual to join our team and take charge of delivering the Mottram Moor Link Road and A57 Link Road to completion. You will report directly to the Project Director and play a key role in delivering infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact.

What you'll be doing


  • Lead and manage an ambitious and diverse project team to deliver the A57 highways project, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including scheduling, budget control, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective project execution.

  • Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Provide on-site leadership and technical direction, solving construction challenges and ensuring the project stays on track.

  • Engage with clients and key stakeholders, offering regular progress updates and ensuring milestones are met.

Who we're looking for


  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, particularly in major highways or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams towards project completion.

  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
