What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and allocate movements for monthly paid staff and operatives to projects, work alongside our work winning department to develop resource pipeline for upcoming projects
• Support development of staff through our tools and processes.
• Ensure regional resource demands and requirements are supported.
• Liaise with Power T&D Project Managers to ensure all resource is in place.
• Recruit and engage directly with subcontract labour suppliers to meet resource requirements.
• Proactively engage with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure that joining instructions, PPE, IT, training, payroll are all kept up to speed with plans.
• Effectively communicate with other Power T&D resource managers & co-ordinators on day-to-day movements and long-term plans to ensure collaboration in resource deployment.
• Ensure all resource deployment is within governance of the Power T&D Business Gated Lifecycle.
• Carry out weekly communications with Projects to ensure compliance against resource request and resolve any day-to-day issues.
• Recruit and engage with direct employees - complete ATRs (Authority to recruit) and offer documents to meet our demand profile. This includes any international direct resource to support the business.
• Engage with our Subcontractors to ensure they have scope of work, durations, volumes and orders in place prior to starting work.
• Support the ‘On boarding’ process for new starters into the business including all documentation, PPE, IT,
vehicles, fuel cards and any other requirements.
• Support the ‘Exit process’ for any leavers including all documentation, PPE, IT, vehicles, fuel cards and any other requirements.
• Complete and issue reporting instructions to relevant parties to capture movements between projects.
• Ensure Resource Request changes are logged and changes managed.
• Be the point of contact for Project Managers on any resource issues on their projects.
• Produce effective Management Information to show resource related data.
Who we're looking for
- Experienced Resource Planner: Skilled in resource planning across a multi-site environment, ideally within the power utilities industry.
- Excellent Planner: Strong planning skills, familiar with project management techniques and applications.
- Effective Communicator: Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in both operational and business support functions.
