What you'll be doing
As a Project Manager, you’ll lead multiple projects across the M25 Highways schemes, from inception to completion, ensuring the critical assets of the Dartford Crossing—including the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge and West and East Tunnels—are maintained and improved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of renewal and improvement projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, designers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Programme Management: Work with the planning team to manage P6 programmes, focusing on critical path activities.
- Commercial Oversight: Manage cost plans, quotations, forecasting, and invoices with the commercial team.
- Quality and Resource Management: Commission and oversee internal and external resources to meet quality, budget, and programme objectives.
- Governance and Reporting: Adhere to project governance procedures, including preparing documentation and presentations for project gateways.
- Collaboration and Sustainability: Contribute to the Collaborative M25 Community, sustainability goals, and business objectives.
Working arrangements:
- Ability and willingness to travel to other offices for meetings on the network as and when required.
- Periodic requirement for site visits (night shift H&S audit)
Who we're looking for
What we are Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager with the following qualifications:
- Recognised Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP).
- Proven experience in Highway or Structures Engineering, with strong knowledge of associated design and maintenance.
- Understanding of CDM, H&S, and environmental legislation relevant to highways.
- Familiarity with NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other contractual frameworks.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between project offices and sites.
Desirable Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field and membership of a professional institution (or actively working towards it).
