About the role

Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a Regional Facilities Manager to join our Enabling Functions team based across the North West region.


Within this role you'll have full management of the facilities management services and legal compliance management of multiple sites in the region, totalling approx. 200 desks and 20 meeting rooms.
You'll also manage a portfolio of internal services providers and external contractors to ensure they are delivering services to the required standard and within budget for the attending and chairing supplier meetings and attending quarterly business reviews.


Please Note: Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license is required for this role.

What you'll be doing

As a Regional Facilities Manager you'll:


Operations



  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of facilities management services for 4 offices/sites, which includes reception, switchboard management, hospitality/catering, office management services, security/access control, management of visitors, procurement to pay processes.


Compliance Management



  • Ensure the 4 sites are legally compliant and in accordance with all relevant regulations, codes of practice and health and safety requirements.

  • Monitor statutory compliance across these sites, accountable for ensuring full compliance and processes are in place to handle remedial works and these are documented accordingly.


Contractor Management



  • Contribute to the selection, procurement, review and performance management of third-party FM suppliers.

  • Working closely with the Senior Soft & Hard Facilities Managers and Procurement Function. Providing effective and timely feedback RE: performance issues/SLAs and continual improvements.


Stakeholder Management



  • Maintain an ongoing and open communication with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of all day-to-day facilities services and reactive tasks across the 4 offices/sites.


Budget Management



  • Monitor, plan and control financial expenditure in support of the Senior Soft Facilities Manager liaising with Finance Business Partner.


Project Management



  • Works with Senior Soft & Hard Facilities Managers and Senior Property Managers in the local management of office refurbishments.


Health & Safety



  • Ensure the 4 sites are safe and legally compliant with statutory legislation as well as to provide a safe workspace i.e. fire safety, first aid and welfare provision..

Who we're looking for

You'll have/be: 



  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and building maintenance requirements

  • Management/supervisory experience

  • Very experienced in the provision of Facilities Services and/or Office Management at a Corporate level

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills

  • Must be confident in dealing with people at all levels to achieve required results.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • The ability to work independently and successfully manage varying workloads.

  • Experience of the procurement/management of service contracts

  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills and strong attention to detail for meticulous record keeping; providing support working in a fast-paced environment to meet targets and deadlines

  • Ability to react quickly to resolve building critical issues

  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships and cooperation such that issues and problems are overcome promptly.

  • IOSH Managing Safely

  • iWFM - desirable

  • Full clean driving licence (travel is required).
