Our work matters to millions. It’ll matter to you too. Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager leading our Substation Teams  and you’ll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work.


We have a growing portfolio of projects around the Central and East Coast regions 


As a Project Manager your role will:



  • Deliver the Power T&D business strategy and objectives on your tenders and outperform on key success measures

  • Manage commercial and business risks to achieve targets

  • Understand the relevant commercial terms and conditions for each project/tender.


 

What you'll be doing


  • Plan, manage and deliver the Project safely and sustainably to programme, cost and quality.

  • To have overall accountability for successful project delivery including; planning,
    design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out

  • Providing management and leadership to create an environment where a multi-
    disciplinary project team can thrive and succeed to achieve a common goal

  • Ensure effective management of client and stakeholders

  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in
    legislation

  • Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety
    initiatives

  • Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with
    internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the
    team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and
    performance management

  • Manage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and
    progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that
    contractual arrangements are achieved

  • Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are
    utilised efficiently to ensure cost control

Who we're looking for


  • Formal qualification in project management or equivalent experience

  • CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent

  • Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery

  • In depth understanding and practical experience of standard forms of contracts

  • Driving Licence 

  • Previous experience managing M&E projects is desirable but not essential
