What placements do we offer?
Summer placements
Summer placements consist typically of 8-weeks of work over the summer period. It's a great chance for you to gain real world experience in a field you're interested in, and you get paid for it as well.
Year in Industry placements
Year in Industry placements are for those studying a degree and are undertaken in-between years in your degree. The aim of the placements is to support you to complete your degree whilst giving you real world experience related to your studies.
The sectors you could be working in...
Transportation
We specialise in delivering large, complex road, rail, airport and public spaces projects. Working in integrated teams we’re delivering some of the world’s most well-known transport projects like the M25 Junction 10 improvement scheme, Los Angeles International Airport Automated People Mover and HS2 Main Civil Engineering Works.
Energy Transition & Security
We have over a century of experience in the energy sector and are involved in some the UK’s most ambitious projects such as Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Somerset, the Inverary to Crossaig Overhead Line works in Scotland and London Power Tunnels.
Defence
From building airfields used in the Battle of Britain and the Mulberry Harbours used at D Day, to constructing state-of-the-art training facilities for MoD Lyneham and delivering vital mechanical and electrical works on the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers, we have a long and proud history of operating in highly regulated, high-security, complex environments.
Social Infrastructure
We create places where people live, are cared for, work, learn, meet and have fun. Our projects include the M+ Museum in Hong Kong, Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick and the Dunfermline Learning Campus, Fife College.
